Busy weekend
Mar. 7th, 2005 12:56 pmI'm feeling much better now, inspite of still having a cough (albeit a
productive one) and it amazes me how sick I have been over the past
several weeks. It has taken getting better to really see the difference.
I worked on Saturday and then
jdulac
and J's son and daughter-in-law went out to dinner for our birthdays
(on 1/12, 2/12, 3/12 and 4/19). I suggested that we go back to a little
place in Brookline Village that J and I had been to several months ago
called the Brookline Family Restaurant. The prosaic name and plain
exterior belie its true character. It is actually a great, inexpensive
Turkish restaurant serving large portions of really tasty food. I
recommend it to all an sundry.
On Sunday I had hoped to quickly run to Widener library, pick up the books I had requested from the depository and then come home. This was not meant to be! The quick run to Cambridge turned in a stop at Trader Joe's, and stops at two different pet stores to try to find fish medicine, one in South Bay and the other on the VFW Parkway in West Roxbury. When I finally got back home (at 5:30pm) I was pretty pooped.
In the evening, I worked on the padding for my late Roman helmet and then so to bed.
