ROYAL COMMISSION ON THE ANCIENT AND HISTORICAL MONUMENTS OF WALES
ENQUIRIES ASSISTANT (LIBRARY & READER SERVICES)
Salary Range £12,374 - £12,807 pro rata
22 hours per week – permanent appointment
Based in Aberystwyth, the Royal Commission is responsible for surveying, recording, publishing and maintaining a database of ancient historical and maritime sites, structures and landscapes in Wales.
We are looking for someone to assist staff and members of the public with their enquiries and provide support duties for our public enquiry system. Duties include searching the National Monuments Record of Wales’s online databases, catalogues and archive, providing written responses to enquiries, assisting with group visits and events such as the Royal Welsh Show, and undertaking general office and library duties.
Candidates must be fluent in both Welsh and English, be educated to degree level with a minimum of 6 months archive or library experience, be confident and self motivated with good communication and IT skills.
