Jul. 20th, 2006 03:51 pmHigh temps just knock me out, so now that the heat is finally gone I'm feeling so much more productive.
Monday and Tuesday nights I cut out material for tunicas for Jdulac and myself for Pennsic. It was just a case of following a thread for an even cut but it was a little time consuming. I got 2 tunicas-to-be out of some ghastly pink linen (it didn't look quite that pink when we bought it), one out of some rose colored linen, one from some lighter weight red linen, and at least 3 others of various linen pieces.
Yesterday I took a flex day off at work because I'm working Saturday and dyed the ghastly pink cloth and rose material a darker red. Then I made them up into Roman tunicas for us. The pink stuff raveled quite a bit but I hope it will stay put now that I've zigzagged the edges. Tonight its back to the tunica sweatshop to finish off the rest. Then we can progress on to "little pants" of the the Thorsbjorg style. I have loads of off cuts from the tunica making I can use so we should be well set for comfy clothes for Pennsic.
